So…..I’ve had to do some research about thisone!....
My friends say that they appreciate my warmth, myloyalty and my eccentricity??? That one is a bit worrying.
My boys (and honorary daughters) say that they appreciate my strength, my love and my never- ending support whatever they do….
My dog appreciates me….but then he would appreciate anyone who supplied him with food….probably doesn’t count.
It’s important to me to make a positive difference, however small, in those whose lives I touch.
The list gets longer the older I get, but I would say justice, fair opportunities and an appreciation of what you have in life not what you have not.
And of course, a sense of humour to deal with whatever life throws at you always helps.
Do what you say you will do….I expect you to follow through. Be open and honest, tell me if I am doing well…Or not…and sarcasm is wasted on me…..I never get it.
I joined the WRAF straight after school, spent a few years in myself, and many years following my husband around.
Fortunate enough to spend my children’s formative years with them, and since have been many years with Age UK on various projects.
Over the last ten years work has been combined with Caring responsibilities. Parents, elderly relatives and partners.
An appreciation of that difficult journey has brought me to Every-One, and the opportunity to be a voice, for those who Care.
