Every-One was commissioned to contact businesses in the Lincolnshire area to tell them about the online marketplace PHBChoices, which provides a channel for businesses to sell their care products and services direct to individuals.
All four Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG’s) have made the PHBChoices e-marketplace available to local people who are interested in a Personal Health Budget (PHB).
Every-One invited businesses to register for free on PHBChoices and to list the products and services they wish to sell to people who have a PHB.
PHBChoices is an online marketplace, which provides a new channel for businesses and voluntary sector organisations to promote services and campaigns direct to individuals.
All four Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG’s) are making the PHBChoices e-marketplace available to local people who have or are interested in having a Personal Health Budget (PHB).
Organisations are invited to register for free on PHBChoices and to list services and campaigns which can be shared with people who have a PHB.
Benefits of PHB Choices
Growing Your Market - by registering, you will be able to share your services and campaigns to a growing market. National targets have been set to increase the number of people who are supported through PHB’s, and Lincolnshire is looking to PHBChoices to be a key way in which people can spend these budgets.
The NHS 5-year forward view has a focus on moving towards personalisation of healthcare to better meet the needs of the individual. PHB’s are not new money but a shift from spend by NHS organisations to spend by individuals. In order to maintain or increase your NHS market share you have the opportunity by registering on the PHBChoices to reach a wider audience.
By sharing information about the services you offer on PHBChoices, you will also be able to access this target group as a voluntary organisation
Direct contact with customers – enables recorded correspondence with customers when booking services. It also allows PHB budget holders and suppliers to send messages directly and securely through the site, offering you an essential direct communication route.
Free registration - PHBChoices provides free registration with competitive transaction costs only made when services or products are purchased. For services and campaigns that are free, there is no charge for using this service.
www.PHBChoices.co.uk has been developed by NHS SBS in partnership with cloudBuy, the global e-commerce provider, to offer an easy to use, online tool for patients to manage their PHBs. PHBChoices has been designed to be fully scalable and will accommodate expanding numbers of PHB holders, forecast to grow to 100,000 by 2020.
PHBs are gaining increasing prominence as a means of delivering personalisation to patients with continuing healthcare and other long term health needs. The NHS offers PHBs to those who qualify, enabling the patient to purchase goods and services against their managed budget. www.PHBChoices.co.uk provides a new, direct-to-consumer marketplace for healthcare products and services, empowering patients to spend and manage their budget online to meet their agreed care plan.
