Lincolnshire-based charity Every-One were announced the winner of the Small Charity, Big Impact Award at the 2020 East Midlands Charity Awards.

The awards were handed out in a virtual ceremony due to coronavirus, which took place on Thursday 11th June.

Vicky Thomson, Chief Executive Officer at Every-One, said: “We are so delighted to have received this award and to be recognised for the hard work of our small, but effective team of staff and Trustees.

“As a small charity with big ambitions, we work with others to ensure awareness and support of unpaid family carers and the people they care for, is at heart of our society.

“We strive for person-centred approaches that see services and organisations build delivery around people and not processes, which can be an uphill struggle.

“Receiving this award, especially during Carers Week 2020 and from such a valuable group of nominees makes us want to climb that hill even more.”

The category was made up of 11 finalists, with Every-One being announced as the overall winner.

On presenting the award the judges said: “We were particularly interested to read about the range of ways in which the organisation involves people with lived experience, as experts to ensure the highest possible quality of their work.

“Not stopping at ensuring their own work is at a high standard, the establishment and roll out of the quality award shows the organisation has a real commitment to its values.

“Huge congratulations to Every-One.”
