Stardust

STARDUST is an exciting group for young adults (aged 18-30) with additional needs who are passionate about musicals and have a love for performing.

The Stardust Story

Impetus to develop STARDUST came from a group of parents from St Francis School in Lincoln. Having watched many wonderful productions at the school, from “War Horse” to “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and “Mary Poppins”, it was clear to see the joy, happiness and pride each student experienced from performing together.

In 2017, with many of their sons and daughters about to leave school, they were determined to ensure their love of drama continued, whilst also providing a place where they could continue their friendships whilst making new ones – and so the idea of STARDUST was sown.

With the help of the charity Every-One, STARDUST has become a reality.

The ethos for STARDUST is built on:

  • Inclusion – a place to have fun and be together with friends
  • Creativity – a place where everyone can share ideas and feel part of a team
  • Positivity – a place where everyone can feel proud and a sense of achievement
  • Choice – a place where everyone can make their own choices and feel free to express themselves… to be themselves.

In addition, STARDUST offers a social opportunity for parents / carers to meet and get information on services and support.
