Supporting Menopause through Co-production:
Firstly, what is co-production?
Co-production is a collaborative approach to designing and delivering services, projects, or research, where professionals and service users (or stakeholders) work together as equal partners. It emphasises shared power, mutual respect, and the active involvement of those who are typically the recipients of a service or intervention.
Key Features:
- Equal partnership: Everyone involved contributes knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Shared decision-making: Users and providers jointly make choices about design, delivery, and evaluation.
- Value of lived experience: The insights of people who use services are considered as important as professional expertise.
Want to become involved? We have two co-productions that are supporting menopause….
Cancer & Menopause Co-production Group
Going through menopause due to cancer treatment can be incredibly tough. That’s why we’re bringing together women with lived experience and professionals—to work in partnership and make things better for everyone affected.
Our groups offer safe, welcoming spaces where you can share your story, connect with others who understand, and help shape the support and information available to others on a similar journey.
Is this right for you?
Join us if you:
- Have experienced menopause as a result of cancer treatment, or
- Are a professional supporting women affected by cancer-related menopause
- Together, we can create more understanding, better resources, and stronger support
Join our group!
The group meets monthly at our offices in Wellingore or you have the option to join us online via MS Teams.
