The Thrive Together Regional Awareness and Information Outreach Project builds on the good practices established by the Lincolnshire Military Veterans and Families Wellbeing Network (LMVFWN): in particular it develops intra-regional and inter-regional pathways to enable 360° sharing of information.
This is achieved through the production of county/regional monthly updates that push information out through the counties across multiple regions. The project creates the templates, pathways, connections, understanding, and collaborative working to enable veteran hubs to connect to each other with the intent of sharing bespoke information to their veteran populations.
The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust (AFCFT) currently provides a digital Knowledge Network, designed to provide good practice and learning at the national level. The Thrive Together Regional Awareness and Information Outreach Project acts as the next level down, creating the regional network that actively transmits and receives information. By taking this active stance, the Thrive Together Regional Awareness and Information Outreach Programme improves mental health support and services; builds a greater connection with veterans; improves cross-sector support for veterans; develops partnerships; and enables collaboration.
The Thrive Together Regional Awareness and Information Outreach Project is forward leaning in terms of creating the potential to develop longer-term change by embracing the vision and objectives of the current Thrive Together Programme, namely: significant improvements in help-seeking behaviours; reducing the stigma associated with mental health and seeking support; creating a holistic approach to supporting veterans mental and physical needs; and improving support for veteran’s carers and veteran’s families.
These objectives mirror the work that Every-One currently conducts through the LMVFWN in support of the Lincolnshire armed forces community. In addition, the Thrive Together Regional Awareness and Information Outreach Project offers the option for bespoke co-production, case-study writing, and telling your story workshops to enable the veteran hubs to better collect, codify, and present quantitative and qualitative data.
