CARE Group – Improving Cancer Care for People with Learning Disabilities
The CARE Group (Cancer Accessibility and Real Experience) is a new co-production group for people with learning disabilities, families, carers, support workers, health professionals and community organisations. The group aims to improve cancer awareness, access to screening and experiences of cancer care for people with learning disabilities living in South Holland and the surrounding area.
Meetings provide an opportunity to:
- Meet other people.
- Share experiences.
- Ask questions.
- Learn about cancer screening and cancer care.
- Help shape more accessible and inclusive services.
- When: Third Monday of every month, 1.00pm to 3.00pm
First meeting: Monday 19 October 2026
Where: Project St Thomas, St Norbert’s Hall, 52 St Thomas Road, Spalding, PE11 2XX
The venue is accessible, parking is available and refreshments will be provided. Information can be made available in Easy Read, large print and other accessible formats where needed.
